Description: | SD-169 is an ATP-competitive and orally bioactive inhibitor of p38α MAP kinase (IC50 = 3.2 nM) with 38 fold selectivity over p38β MAP kinase (IC50 = 122 nM). SD-169 decreases p38 MAP kinase expression in T cells, lowers blood glucose and reduces the risk of diabetes. It has no inhibitory effect against a panel of other kinases including p38γ MAP kinase, ERK2, JNK-1 and MAPKAPK-2. |
