Description:	Didesulfo Cyanine 5 Monofunctional Hexanoic Acid Dye is a light sensitive compound related to Cyanine 5 Monofunctional Hexanoic Acid Dye, Potassium Salt (CAT# C960330) and its free acid (CAS# 146368-11-8), which is useful in the preparation of dUTPs conjugated with zwitterionic Cy3 or Cy5 fluorophore analogs for use as substrates for DNA amplification and labelling by Taq polymerase. It may also be useful in the design and synthesis of novel NIR celecoxib-based fluorescent probe for cyclooxygenase-2 targeted bioimaging in tumor cells.
